Our 11th Annual Family History & Genealogy Fair is being scheduled for Saturday, July 30th.
This year’s theme will be “Who Were Some of the First Non-Indigenous Families Living in Bertie County in 1722?”
A large percent of Chowan County in northeastern North Carolina, Bertie became a County in 1722. The 11th Annual Family History and Genealogy Fair will focus on the Bazemore, Bunch, and other families who were living in Bertie County in 1722 when it was established. David Hoggard will use maps to identify the geographical location of some of the first non-indigenous families in Bertie County in 1722.
