Friends of Hope Special Event

November 11, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

$15

You are invited to join The Friends of Hope in a special event honoring Dicky Hoggard

The Friends of Hope are having a special open meeting to honor the donation of Dicky Hoggard to the Historic Hope Foundation, Inc. at the Roanoke Chowan Heritage Center.  The donation, of several thousand artifacts he collected in Bertie County, reflects the heritage of the Native Carolinians who lived on this land for countless generations.  The recent Celebration of the 300th Anniversary of the Indian Woods Community, which adjoins the Roanoke Chowan Heritage Center lands brought an important delegation of Tuscarora from their Reservation in New York to a conference at the Center, and expert admiration of the artifacts.
