Message from Historic Hope Foundation President

The Historic Hope Foundation acknowledges the emotional and psychological impact that the recent killings and the daily experience of racism have on African Americans and others in our communities. We express our deepest sympathy to the families and communities of George Floyd (a Fayetteville, North Carolina native) and far too many before him whose needless deaths were the results of unjustified violence. We will continue to embrace our role as a member of Bertie County communities and offer space where people can come together for conversations across racial lines that can help overcome local and nation division.

Turner Bond Sutton, President
